Back later with a card!!!

An Award

Two lovely emails today…I’ve received this award by the very  sweet Jacqui (Cats Whiskers) and Jill (Jill’s Cards)…thank you both so much for thinking of me.  I know both of these ladies are already well known on the blogging scene but if you haven’t already visited their blogs, please do because you’re in for a treat…….amazing card creations by both of them!  Sam (Mijn weblog) has also given me this award…thanks to you too Sam…love your blog too!

The rules of the award are:

1.  The winner can put the logo on her blog.
2.   Link the person you received your award from.
3.  Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4.  Put links of those blogs on yours.
5.  Leave a message on the blogs of the girls you’ve nominated

Here are my seven, in no particular order……I could have picked another seventy seven…..but that’s not in the rules!

Jacqueline, Torill, Janneke, Malin, Tina, Bea and Mumur.

I really do love all of these ladies blogs….and everyone of them has been so kind and helpful to me in some way…….thank you all so much, you are very special blogging friends!

Ahhhh….isn’t she sweet….this is Lilly Ladybug and she is on an unmounted sheet from alota Rubber Stamps which includes several of the ladybugs and some sentiments.  Helene provides an excellent shipping service to the UK….all orders arrive very quickly….so do pop over  to alota….you’ll be spoilt for choice with the range of stamps available.

I used a card kit from Sarah’s Cards, which included the ribbon and coloured with copics.  Stardust added to the wings and eyelids.  I cut out the second ladybug, added some wire and used dimensional tape to adhere her.

Interested in some blog candy?  Claudia is on 200,000 hits and has some Magnolia candy to give away…it includes five card kits with some bits from her stash…believe me, Claudia has some awesome stash so check her amazing blog for details!

Just the two of us

Well, it’s a really wet and miserable day here…perfect excuse for staying in and making some cards…….hooray!  Though I do hope we see the sun again soon!

I had a wonderful parcel from Helene at alota Rubber Stamps waiting for me when I arrived home.  She enclosed a fabulous selection of stamps for me to play with, it was so exciting opening it!  I didn’t know which one to use first but I really like this one, it’s called bugs on ant hill and is available to order from alota .  Watch this space for more DT cards for alota!

I checked this weeks theme over at Cute Card Thursday and it’s fits perfectly with the bugs!  Papers are from a card kit from Paperbasics.  I coloured the image with copics and added stardust to the flowers and black sakura glaze pen to the black on the bugs arms, legs and heads….it doesn’t show on the picture but this leaves a little shine and also a slightly raised feel to it.  Flowers and gems from stash and sentiment is computer generated.

Hope some of you are having better weather than me and thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh it’s so good to be back to Friday Sketchers again after a two week holiday!  I’ve really missed taking part in this wonderful sketch challenge.  This week we have a fabulous prize, sponsored by Paperbasics.

Bea (Megastamper) has done a fantastic sketch this week…it was definitely a real challenge for me Bea but I loved doing it….thanks so much….you are super creative with these layouts!  I know you have a personal sketch for us all to try on your blog…I am hoping to get time over the weekend to make a card with it.

For my card, I used a stamped Hanglar image that my dear friend Claudia sent to me and coloured her with copics.  Paper, flowers and ribbon are this months card kit from CardArt…thanks Carmen for another beautiful kit!  Used my SU hodgepodge for the first time and I’m very pleased with it…just another embellishment to add!

The Sassy Sketchers over at FS have come up with some wonderful cards with Bea’s sketch…check them out and I hope they inspire you get really creative with this weeks sketch!  I’d also like to say  hello and welcome to Kristine (Krisine’s Cards and Photos) who joins the Design Team this week at Friday Sketchers…..it will be a pleasure to work with you Kristine.

Bev’s Blog Candy

Bev (All The Things I Love) has some gorgeous blog candy to give away.  She is celebrating 20,000 hits and her yummy candy includes some of her famous handmade crochet flowers and some Hanglar and Stanglar images.  Pop over to Bev’s blog for more details of her blog candy and take some time to browse through her wonderful pages of cards…they are all very beautiful!

Pretty in pink

This is a card that I have made following a sketch at Raspberry Ribbons.  The ribbons, buttons and flowers are all from their first kit.  Love the papers, they were in the parcel that I’ve just got from Claudia and unfortunately, I think they are now retired :o(   Why do all the nice things get retired?!!!  Stamp is one of the Penny Black girls, minus her dog…I just inked the whole image and then covered the dog with tape and then stamped it onto the cardstock.

i’ve got two more lovely cards from friends I’d like to show…

This one is from Marlene.  I ordered some beads and charms from her shop and she enclosed this beautiful card with my parcel…thanks Marlene, you are so kind.

This card is from my friend Sam from The Netherlands and inside it were some lovely images and beautiful flowers….thanks so much Sam…I love the bright colours of the papers and the giraffe is so cute!
