Penny Black Saturday Challenge…

I’m back - with another Christmas card!  I’ve used Joey’s sketch over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge – and dug out one of my ‘vintage’ snowman stamps.  I was looking for a die yesterday and had great fun, and lots of nice surprises, when I was searching through my Christmas and Halloween stamps - and it left me wondering…do I really need to buy any more this year???  Some of the old Penny Black stamps are amongst my favourites…but of course, I have to keep buying the new ones :)

Thanks to everyone that joined in the PBSC fun last week.  As always, the PBSC DT have rocked the sketch challenge and have made some super cards!

We’ve got  Kathy Racoosin - Penny Black Team member joining us for this weeks sketch – and she has made a wonderful card which you can see on the PBSC blog.   Penny Black are also offering a prize to the winner of this challenge – a stamp, or stamp set, from the Halloween 2010 catalogue…how amazing is that….thanks Penny Black!

I will be sponsoring PBSC every month for the next twelve months….and this is the stamp that you can win this week…

Here’s some links, from Penny Black, for you to take a look at…

CC Designs and news of a great pre-order stamp at Quixotic Paperie…

I’ve been playing with the gorgeous CC Designs Swiss Pixie stamp - Halloween Birgitta – she’s such a sweetie!  I made up a scene, doing some making and using some pumpkins, sentiment and the owl/moon from a Halloween Cookie Crumbs set.

I didn’t have much room for embellishments but I did find some space for a punched spider’s web border (Martha Stewart), some charms, flowers and buttons.  Distressed using Distrezz it all and papers by Cosmo Cricket – Matilda :)   If you’re in need of anything Halloween, including sentiments, take a peek at Quixotic Paperie’s Halloween shop!

Quixotic Paperie 1st Anniversary Blog Hop…

Smiley from millan.net

Today is the 1st Anniversary of the Quixotic Paperie online store, and we’re having a celebratory blog hop!  If you’re already following the hop, you should have hopped over here from Simonne’s blog.  If not, then hop back to the beginning at the Quixotic Paperie Store Blog. You won’t want to miss a stop, as in addition to lots of fantastic inspiration, there are some prizes on offer (full details on the Quixotic Paperie Blog).

Quixotic Paperie was started on June 1st 2009 by Elaine Hughes.  Having been an avid crafter (and craft shopper!) for a number of years, Elaine wanted to share her passion and see where it might take her – so, Quixotic Paperie was born!  Since then, the store has grown, and now stocks a fabulous range of rubber stamps from around the world: The Greeting Farm, Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, SCACD Stamps, Paper Makeup Stamps, Belles ‘n Whistles, the Mo Manning for Stamping Bella range, Stempelglede and more!  In addition, the store carries a large range of charms and embellishments, and a host of gorgeous papers for all your crafty projects! If Elaine loves it, you will probably find it at Quixotic Paperie

In November 2009 the Quixotic Challenges blog was started, where you can find weekly inspiration from the wonderful Quixotic Paperie Design Team, and join in for the chance to win a monthly prize.

It has been a fabulous and wonderfully crafty year and here’s to another one and hopefully many more to follow!

I was honoured to be part of the Quixotic Paperie design team for a number of months and delighted when Elaine asked me to join in the QP 1st Anniversary hop.   Keep on buying that yummy stash Elaine…you’re doing a great job.  I hope QP continues to go from strength to strength.

Before I go…I just like to say a huge thank you to Elaine (Quixotic Paperie) and Karen (Sugar Nellie) for giving me the opportunity to be on their design teams.  I’ve had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of it.  Now I’m going to catch up with life in general… and just do all those little things that have been slipping lately…unfortunately, blogging has a very bad habit of taking over your life if you let it.  Spring has arrived and I’m going to make the effort to go on some walks and take some photo’s with my new camera.  I’m still going to be making cards, posting regularly and still designing for FS and PBSC…I just need a bit of time and space to get everything back to normal.

Quixotic Challenges…Altered Anya & Friends…

Hello…we have a great new theme for you over at Quixotic Challenges.  We’d like to see you make cards/projects by altering your Greeting Farm images!  Yes..swap heads, bodies, accessories…anything you like as long as it’s a stamp from TGF.  To create my ‘swapped image’, I inked up Reeta from the Wild Sprouts collection…

…covered her head with scotch tape and then stamped her onto  cardstock.  I then inked up Megan, again, from the Wild Sprouts collection and also stamped her onto a piece of carstock.  I cut out her head and adhered it to Reeta’s body…easy!  The possibilities are endless….you sure are going to have great fun with this challenge.

There are some special rules, just for this challenge, so please read the instructions carefully on the post at Quixotic Challenges.  You’ve also got two weeks to complete your project :)

I’ve used some yummy new Pink Plum by Crate papers …and the gorgeous orange and pearl beads and spacers that I’ve  used on my pin have also just arrived at Quixotic Paperie.  Check out the New Products…the brand new CC Designs stamps have just landed too!

Thanks for looking…enjoy the rest of your day :)
