Sugar Nellie Blog Hop…

Hello…and welcome to the Sugar Nellie Blog Hop!  I’m delighted to be taking part with all of the Design Team from Sugar Nellie.  If you’ve arrived here from the Sugar Nellie Blog, then you’re heading in the right direction!

We’ve all created something  using our favourite stamp from Sugar Nellie and we decided to showcase some of the ‘older’ stamps for a change.  Everyone has chosen a different stamp…so you’re in for some beautiful eye candy on your hop!

I’ve chosen Bumble Bee…one of the adorable Gorjuss Girls…

I’ve paper pieced her dress and given her a bit of sparkle on her wings and belt.  She really is ‘gorjuss’ and so easy to colour!

As I said before, everyone will be using a different Sugar Nellie stamp for the blog hop and Karen has very kindly said that she will give the stamp that the DT member has used, as the blog hop prize…thank you so much Karen :)

So…if you’d like to win this gorgeous Bumble Bee Stamp…just leave me a comment under this post.  The Blog Hop will be open until midnight GMT Sunday 21st February.  All winners will be announced on Monday 22nd February  over on the Sugar Nellie Blog.

And now…hop on over to Dena’s blog to see her Sugar Nellie darling :)

Friday Sketchers…Webb Knitter from Sugar Nellie…

Good Morning…thanks for stopping by.  My sweet friend, the lovey Jacqueline, is our sketch host over at Friday Sketchers.   I love the cards that the DT have made with Jacq’s sketch…such a great variety of cute images and all things pretty  :D    Thanks to our sponsor…My Creative Classroom…for their generous prize.

Be sure to check out all the card samples posted by the Design Team Diva’s on their individual blogs (links below)…and hopefully, you’ll be able to play along with us by just  posting the link of your creation on the Friday Sketcher blog.

Now then, I’ve gone a bit technical with this card         I’ve used one of the gorgeous new digital images from Sugar NellieWebb Knitter.  I’m not computer savvy at all…(as my very helpful, and talented friend Janneke will tell you!), so the thought of printing out images was a bit daunting…not to mention the possibility of having to buy a new printer that’s compatible with Copic Markers!  So, I enlisted the help of my son…resized the image and printed…I then photocopied the image so that I wouldn’t have any ink issues whilst colouring.  It all worked perfectly and I’m now looking forward to tying out a few more of the digital images from Funky Kits…though I’m definitely still, and always will be, a rubber stamp girl…bring on the black ink pad!!!!!!!!

We’ve also got a new link on the Friday Sketchers Blog (top right corner)… it’s a new blog called Friday Sketcher Sketches…the idea of, and created by, the lovely Claudia.  The blog is  a place that you can visit to view previous sketches from the DT.

I had so much fun colouring this gorgeous Sugar Nellie image called Bubbles .  I really enjoyed colouring her body…huge areas to colour on her chubby arms, legs and of course, her cute face…it was nice to be able to use lots of different skin tone copics…I find some images hardly have any areas to colour…this was just perfect :)

Oh and before I forget…Quixotic Paperie now has the new Belles ‘n’ Whistles stamps in stock, along with stamps from The Greeting Farm.  To do some retail cyber shopping over at Quixotic Paperie…just click here…  :)

Well, that’s it for me today…hope you have a great weekend.  Don’t forget, I’ll be posting some blog candy over the weekend…if you’d like to win this beautiful stamp…come back soon!
