I really can’t believe it’s Wednesday already and Old Magnolia day again! Claudia has chosen barefoot Tilda for the challenge. I wanted her to be looking at something rather nice so I first stamped Tilda, masked her and then stamped the waterfall scene from the new animal and pet collection. Lots of hills and mountains to colour, as you can see…….this is quite a big stamp and definitely fills a 6×6 card with no problem at all. Added lots of StarDust to the waterfall….much better IRL!
Cute Card Thursday’s theme this week is stitching…real or faux, so this fits in just perfectly for their challenge
Check out what Bea, Claudia and Jacqueline made with this stamp, and, if you want to join in with us, just leave a comment over on Old Magnolia…….hope to see you there!
Card Recipe
Stamps ~ Barefoot Tilda, Waterfall scene
Papers ~ Doodlebug
Medium ~ Copic Sketch Markers
Tools ~ EK Success corner punch, sewing machine
Embellishments ~ Prima flowers. SU filigree brads, pearls from Quixotic Paperie, bling and pearl brads from stash

Hi there…Happy 4th July to all my American friends! Today would have been my dad’s birthday and I always remember he used to enjoy seeing the celebrations in the US that everyone had on his special day….and I’m sure that this year the fireworks will be bigger and better than ever before…I’ll be watching the news!
Penny Black Saturday Challenge has come around again and to tie in with 4th July, we have a red, white and blue theme for you. I had a splash of inspiration last week and decided to use this stamp (slightly adapted) seeing as we have the Wimbledon finals here in England this weekend. I hoped that the red white and blue would be for British No.1 Andy Murray in the final, but sadly, that’s not to be. The stamp actually has a shuttlecock, not a tennis ball, I just inked the stamp, covered the shuttlecock with some tape and stamped as normal. I then stamped a tennis ball that I have on a Hobby Arts tennis bear in it’s place…oh…and I also stamped another one out to 3d it….what a tiny circle to cut out!!! Debby had the same idea with this stamp…I had to laugh when I saw her card a few days ago…great minds think alike Debby! There isn’t an awful lot to colour on these images, it’s all over and done quite quickly…
I’m using this card for my brother who’s a tennis player, so I wanted to keep it very simple. I did use a cap charm that I got from Quixotic Paperie…I thought it matched the tennis theme quite well.
The design team over at PBSC have, as always, made some fabulous cards for you. We have another wonderful prize, just click here for more information. Thanks to everyone that joined in our sketch fun, hope you’ll be back for more this week!

My dear friend Claudia has created a fab sketch once again, take a peek over at Friday Sketchers to see the wonderful cards from the design team and our super prize from the Character Cafe. Thanks for the challenge Claudia!
Hey…do have your sunglasses on….haha! I know it’s a bit of a BRIGHT card, but I had to use these cool parrot papers which were a great match to the funky Magnolia parrot! I even cut the parrots feet out to make them 3d…….I did actually cut the body/head out too, but only remembered after I had coloured this image in (which I cut out too)…..so he isn’t quite as 3D as I’d planned…but he’s still a little cutie!
Quixotic Paperie had a delivery of new rubber stamps yesterday. In stock are the beautiful fairies/pixies from CC Design and also some cute stamps from Paper Pretties.
Here’s one of the sets that I ordered from Quixotic Paperie yesterday……..

Don’t you just lurrrve her? It just happened that a few of the pixies landed in my basket too whilst over there………well I just can’t resist anything cute……can you? You have to have willpower…and I haven’t got any…that’s my excuse!
